My passion has always been to empower people to support themselves at the exact moment they need it, to help them feel independent, to put tools in their hands that they can use to soothe themselves so they don’t feel like victims, like their well-being is in someone else’s hands… it’s not. I was lucky enough to learn this myself when I learned “EFT/Tapping” and once I understood this it was so very liberating.
“I love to teach people to use and integrate helpful, healing modalities that support us in moving through uncomfortable emotions and releasing them from the body. To me, this is true freedom.
If there are no buttons to push, no one can push them. These tools help us reduce the size of our buttons. Another way of explaining it is to say that, if we use these tools consistently in our lives, our “window of tolerance” for the button pushers (we may always have buttons and people who push them) becomes much larger and the impact those people have on us is much less. Our relationships can transform.
Many of us have learned a LOT of different modalities over time in our search for well-being but so often we take the week-long or weekend workshop, get excited, see the possibilities of the technique then go home and totally forget to apply it when we need it. It has not had time to become a habit so we don’t remember or know how to use it when an issue comes up and that’s the time it would help.
You automatically reach for a hammer when you are dealing with a nail. These techniques (my fave is clearly the tapping) must be so familiar and second nature that you don’t have to look it up to know when it’s the time to use it.
Because of this, I hold monthly online groups and occasional thematic workshops to utilise the power of group energy and to remind us all (myself included) that we always have these techniques at hand and that we can use them in the moment we need them.
This becomes possible when we have go-to tools that we know (from experience and practice with them) will help us move through difficult experiences with relative ease, take the learnings and move on. We were created to experience things (even negative things), ride the waves, get ourselves to safety and return to homeostatis (“stability”).
The problem is when we get stuck in the experience, stuck in the emotions related to the experience or when a stressful experience is ongoing. These tools help us move through and clear these experiences and get to the other side as well as clear out emotional “gunk” (technical term :D) from past events.
For information about the monthly online tapping groups I run or any punctual workshops I may be offering, please see my Events page.
I offer one-on-one sessions if a group setting is not the right fit for you.
For any questions or to make a private session appointment, don’t hesitate to contact me.
